Day Trips - Bisbee

At the turn of the 20th Century, Bisbee was the largest city between St. Louis and San Francisco. The reason….copper. The remainder of the rough and ready mining days are all around including the 700 ft. deep Lavender Pit and the Bisbee Mining & Historical Museum, a satellite of the Smithsonian Institute.

The town, now the county seat of Cochise County, is an eclectic collection of fine shops and restaurants, walking, Jeep & Trolley Tours.

One could easily spend a full day in Bisbee. It’s picturesque so bring your camera or buy paintings, drawings and postcards.
